Foundation Phase Manual Changes

Please see the attachment.

This was applicable, and sent by, District Office: Ekurhuleni North (Gauteng).

Can any other districts/provincial officers confirm that they are preparing the Curriculum Setups in the same way?

Is there a reason behind this - will the changes required be reflected in the next SA-SAMS Update?

Free State: as far as I am aware, we have received no formal communication from Curriculum at DBE, nor from the EMIS Directorate regarding this, other than handouts issued at a workshop, which was presented by the SAOU Free State at the end of Term 1, and which was later incorporated in the following documents on the DBE's website:

Guidelines to strengthen CAPS Implementation 2017: GET
Guidelines to strengthen CAPS Implementation 2017: FET

We have followed suit in a similar fashion as depicted in the document that you supplied, with some minor changes where our Grade Managers and HODs thought it best to deviate from this. As far as I am aware, no formal document was issued on how to address this in the Free State.

As for whether the changes will be included in a next Patch and when we will see revised CAPS documents, I would hope so soon, but feedback is still pending.
